What to have the children do during that vacation drive to Hilton Head?

I’m at a disadvantage here – all my friends and the people I’m connected with live in the middle of the country – Illinois, Wisconsin, or Iowa.  But, I’m trying to inform all of you that “Have You Seen My Daddy’s 18 Wheeler?” is now available at 8 high quality book stores across the United States.  Some of them are places you may visit, and some of them will have citizens that are traveling to other parts of the country.

So, just for clarification – the following stores offer this exciting and challenging opportunity for your children to do something besides staring, mesmerized, at the VCR player.  Suzie and Dad can challenge Mom and Johnny to see who can spot the largest number of 18 wheelers.  Remember “It’s easier to spot an 18 wheeler than that missing license plate from Montana”

If you’d like to see what all the excitement is about I offer the following:

That Bookstore in Blytheville in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Second Star to the Right Books in Denver, Colorado.

Book Haven in  Salida Colorado.

Visit Savannah in Savannah, Georgia.

Read Between the Lynes in Woodstock, Illinois.

An Open Door in Wadena, Minnesota.

The Shell Shop in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

The Twig Book Shop in San Antonio, Texas.

So, as you tour The Alamo, or visit Savannah or Woodstock, or maybe you are from Blytheville or Wadena, or maybe you are visiting Salida or Denver – why not spend part of your holiday at one of these book stores, keeping your children entertained, supporting the local economy, and providing an opportunity for your children to view the outside wonder that is America from the highway!
